Run an automation policy or script on a device

Run a script on a managed device to perform troubleshooting activities. The direct support tool enables you to select and run Automation Manager policies or other script on a managed device.

  1. In the navigation pane, click Views > All Devices. and click the Network Devices tab.
  2. Click the name of the device to open Device Details.
  3. Click Tools > Task Execution.
  4. In the Type drop-down menu, select Automation Policy or Scripting.
  5. In the Repository Item drop-down menu, select an item and complete the relevant details.
  6. In the Run with drop-down menu, select which credentials to use.

    7. If you select Custom Credentials, enter the User Name and Password to be used.

  7. Click Run.

In the display pane on the right, the current status and results display. Click Refresh Now to update the information on policies that are being run on the device.
